Announcements

Saying Goodbye is Never Easy.

Today we sadly announce that Julia Cathcart-Chang, PA-C will be leaving our clinic after ten years of dedicated and compassionate service. Julia has made a lasting impact on our patients and our team, and she will be greatly missed. She has chosen to pursue an opportunity in a specialty field of medicine, and while we are sad to see her go, we fully support her in this exciting new chapter. Her last day at the clinic will be June 26, 2026.

New Prescription Medication Policy.

Beginning June 26, 2026, patients prescribed chronic opioid or benzodiazepine medications will be evaluated during their regular visits to determine the most appropriate and safe plan of care. This may include continuing these medications when clinically appropriate or coordinating care with outside pain management or behavioral health specialists based on your provider’s clinical assessment.
We understand that changes involving medications can sometimes feel uncertain or concerning. Please know that our team is here to support you every step of the way. Any decisions regarding your care will be made thoughtfully, with your safety, comfort, and overall well-being as our top priorities. We remain fully committed to caring for all of your other medical needs and to continuing the high-quality, patient-centered care you expect from us.

Health and Wellness

🧠 Mental Health Matters 💙
Your mind needs care just like your body.
Stress, anxiety, depression — they are not signs of weakness, but signals that deserve attention and support.

💬 It’s okay not to be okay.
You are not alone. Reach out, talk to someone, and take that first step toward healing.

Let’s break the stigma — because mental health is health.

Reflecting on 2025 at Purdy Medical Clinic

As we look back on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the growth, learning, and trust that defined this year at Purdy Medical Clinic. Every visit, conversation, and connection helped shape who we are becoming, and we look forward to carrying these lessons into the year ahead with renewed purpose and commitment.

June is Migraine Awareness Month

June is Migraine and Headache Awareness Month and a time to recognize the impact that headaches and migraine disorders have on daily life and to promote better understanding, diagnosis, and treatment.

Migraines and chronic headaches are more than just “bad headaches.” They can be disabling conditions that affect work, school, relationships, and overall quality of life. Symptoms may include severe pain, sensitivity to light or sound, nausea, and visual disturbances, and they can vary widely from person to person.

At Purdy Medical Clinic, we are committed to helping patients identify triggers, explore treatment options, and develop individualized care plans to better manage headache and migraine symptoms. With the right support, many people can significantly reduce the frequency and severity of their episodes.

If you are experiencing recurring headaches or migraines, we encourage you to reach out for evaluation and care.

June is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month

June is PTSD Awareness Month and a time to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and support those affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, including veterans, first responders, survivors of abuse or accidents, and many others. Symptoms may impact emotional well-being, sleep, relationships, concentration, and daily life, but help and support are available.

At Purdy Medical Clinic, we believe mental health is an important part of overall health. Seeking support is a sign of strength, and no one should feel alone in their journey. Through compassionate care, listening, and connection to appropriate resources, we are committed to supporting the well-being of our patients and community.

This month, we encourage awareness, understanding, and kindness for those living with PTSD and the families who support them.

What Our Patients Are Saying 💬

"I have been going to this office for 9 years and I just love it. The staff knows you by name as soon as you walk in the door. You are always treat with respect and kindness.

I have seen several different providers in this office and each and everyone have always listened to my concerns and given their honest opinions on what health issues I had at the time.

You can always get an appointment with in a reasonable time frame, which is hard to find in any other offices around. I highly recommend this office!!!"
